2. Open the app and follow the instructions to create an account. Please be sure to confirm your email address after setting up your account.
3. Search for Canaan Baptist Church and save it as a Favorite and/or Place of Worship.
4. Tap “GIVE” and select amount and purpose (e.g. Tithes, Mission). You may also select the frequency of your contribution (Weekly, Monthly, etc.) if you choose. Be sure your correct card information is reflected. After confirming and tapping “GIVE NOW” a webpage will open asking you to confirm your donation.
5. Once confirmed you will see a confirmation page in the app. Here, you will enter your envelope number. Please note, Givelify does not keep records of your credit card information. Confess your trespasses to one another, and prayer for one another, that you may be healed. So reads James 5:16.
The People of God: Praying for one another is the theme adopted by our congregation during the mid-year church wide meeting. I was inspired to recommend this theme because I sincerely believe prayer to be the means by which so many of our problems will be resolved. This text in the Epistle of James is one of many admonitions found in scripture that call the people of God to prayer. I have no doubt this most congregations consider themselves to be praying churches. However, my observation has been that many of our prayers have become petitions for our own wants and needs with little concern the needs of others.
