DANCE THE WORD MINISTRY
Ministry’s Purpose:
Dance The Word's primary function is to utilize dance as a praise and worship tool for deliverance, edification, salvation and warfare. Our secondary function is the nurturing of disciples through the vehicles of prayer, witnessing, bible study and fasting. Our final function is to translate, through spiritual movement, the value of liturgical dance to both pastors and congregation.
Dance The Word ministers on the third Sunday of each month during the 11:00am service and at special programs. Our first initial rehearsal was blessed by Pastor Roger Harris on October 16, 1999 at Canaan's Youth Center, located at 71 West 116 St, New York, NY 10026. Dance The Word Ministry historically marked their official introduction to the Canaan family on Sunday, November 14, 1999.
Dance The Word consist of six ministry components:
