Women's Day Service

Canaan's 2012 Women's Day observance was filled with powerful prayers, the dynamic preaching of Atlanta's Rev. Portia Wills Lee, pastor of Trinity Tabernacle Baptist Church, and the magnificent inspirational music ministry of the Women's Day Choir of 100 voices.

Babette Hudson, Woman of the Year and The Women's Day Committee presented The Mentoring Heart of the Christian Woman Award to six women of distinction in recognition of their excellent leadership, wise council and for mentoring women in their church, business and community. The honorees were Ruth Clark, Patrice Perry, Dawn M. Hill, Mikki Grant, Judy Price and Coreen Simpson. |

Special guests included Broadway's A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE's cast Blair Underwood and his family, Wood Harris, producers Stephen C. Byrd and Alia Jones.
